Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do with SemPost, the network rules that bind you, and how we enforce this policy.

Version and validity

  • Version and effective date: 30 October 2026
  • Last updated: 30 October 2026
  • Issued by: CS Digital Wonders LLC ("CS Digital Wonders", "we", "us"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA; registered address 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. SemPost is a product of CS Digital Wonders.
  • Contact for this policy and for reports: [email protected]
  • Languages: this policy is published in English and Turkish with the same content. The Terms of Service say which version prevails.
  • How changes are announced: we update this policy when the product, the law or a network's rules change. Before a material change takes effect, we tell users by email at least 30 days in advance, or with shorter notice when a law or a network's rule requires a faster change. Smaller changes (wording, links, corrections) are listed in the "Changes" section at the end. You can ask us for an earlier version at [email protected].

1. Scope

This policy is part of the SemPost Terms of Service. It applies to every person who uses SemPost and to every workspace, on app.sempost.ai and inside Shopify through the app "SemPost: AI Social Media Posts". It covers everything you create, upload, store, schedule or publish with SemPost: posts on the networks, first comments, comment-to-DM messages, media in your library, brand settings and the product pages you import.

  • You: the person who uses SemPost and the workspace (the business or person) that person acts for. The workspace owner is responsible for how the members of the workspace use SemPost.
  • Network: a social network or service that SemPost publishes to: Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Bluesky.
  • Content: anything you, or SemPost at your request, create, upload, store or publish.

If you manage accounts for clients, for example as an agency, you must have the client's permission to manage each account and to publish its content.

Read this policy together with the AI Content Policy, the Copyright and Notice-and-Takedown Policy, the Platform Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Your responsibility

  • You are the publisher of your content. You decide what is published and you are responsible for it.
  • You must follow the laws of the places where you publish and where your audience is, including advertising, consumer protection, data protection and intellectual property law.
  • You must check every AI result before it is published (see the AI Content Policy).
  • SemPost's safeguards (the approval queue, AI labels, the network rules built into the product and the checks in section 5) help you, but they do not replace your own review.

3. Network rules you must follow, and how SemPost applies them

Each network's terms and policies apply to what you publish there; the Platform Terms page lists them. Some network rules limit what an app may do automatically. SemPost applies them as follows. Do not try to get around these measures.

3.1 LinkedIn: no automated posting

LinkedIn's API terms forbid using its APIs to automate posting, and its User Agreement forbids bots and other unauthorised automated methods. SemPost therefore puts every LinkedIn post prepared by an automation rule into the approval queue, even if your workspace's approval setting is "No approval". A person must approve each of these posts. Approve a post only after you have looked at it.

3.2 Pinterest: you choose each Pin

Pinterest requires that the user chooses each scheduled Pin. SemPost puts every Pin prepared by an automation rule into the approval queue, whatever your approval setting is.

YouTube forbids automated uploads without the user's prior, specific and express consent. When you add a YouTube account to an automation rule, you must tick this box: "I consent to SemPost uploading this rule's videos to the YouTube account I chose automatically. I can stop the uploads at any time by taking the account out of the rule." SemPost keeps the consent with the person who gave it, the time and the version of the text. Without it, the account cannot be added to the rule. You can stop the uploads at any time by taking the account out of the rule.

3.4 TikTok: no added branding, drafts by default

  • TikTok does not allow apps to add brand names, logos, watermarks, links or promotional text to content. SemPost therefore sends TikTok a clean version: no logo, end card, labels or text drawn by SemPost. Videos you uploaded yourself and pictures you labelled yourself in the Studio go as they are, so make sure they follow TikTok's rules.
  • TikTok posts go as drafts to your TikTok app, where you finish and publish them. Posts made by automation rules always go as drafts.
  • In the Studio you can choose direct publishing for a TikTok account. The posting window then follows TikTok's rules: you choose the privacy setting yourself (there is no default), comments, duets and stitches start unticked, and the commercial content disclosure starts off. Saving the window is your consent to publish under TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation and, for branded content, its Branded Content Policy (see the Platform Terms).

3.5 Google Business Profile

  • SemPost only publishes posts on your Business Profile location and reads its statistics. It does not reply to reviews or questions, does not edit your business information and does not itself add managers to your profile. The profile is connected through our partner Zernio: your Google settings show the apps and managers with access to the profile, which may include Zernio's, and Zernio's privacy policy explains how Zernio handles the connection.
  • A Google Business Profile post gets one picture and, if you add a link, a "Shop" button. In posts made with Generate from products, the picture is your product's own photo, without text or labels drawn on it.
  • When SemPost writes a Google Business Profile post with AI, the model is told not to include phone numbers, email addresses or links in the text. In posts made by automation rules, SemPost also removes phone numbers from the text.
  • Google's API policies require the business's prior, specific and express consent before automated actions. When you add a Business Profile to an automation rule, you must tick a consent box like the one for YouTube (section 3.3). SemPost keeps the consent with the person who gave it, the time and the version of the text; without it, the profile cannot be added to the rule. Automation posts to Google Business Profile also follow your workspace's approval setting.

3.6 Posting limits

  • SemPost counts posts per account per local day: Instagram 3, Facebook 3, TikTok 3, Pinterest 10, LinkedIn 2, YouTube 2, Threads 5, Bluesky 5, Google Business Profile 1. Automation and automatic scheduling never go above these numbers and leave at least 4 hours between two posts of the same account. When you place a post yourself, SemPost warns you by default; your workspace can turn the warning into a hard limit.
  • Automation posts use at most 5 hashtags on Instagram and 1 topic tag on Threads.
  • For TikTok direct publishing, SemPost reads the account's own posting limit each time the posting window opens.
  • Do not use SemPost to get around a network's limits.

4. What you must not do

You must not use SemPost for any of the following.

4.1 Illegal content and activities

  • Content that is illegal where it is published or seen, for example child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, incitement to violence or hatred, threats, harassment or defamation.
  • Fraud, scams, phishing, pyramid schemes or other deceptive business practices.
  • Selling or promoting goods or services that may not lawfully be offered where you offer them.
  • Anything that breaks sanctions or export rules (see the Terms of Service).

4.2 Spam and unsolicited messages, including comment-to-DM

How comment-to-DM works. On an Instagram or Facebook post (a single picture, a carousel or a Reel; not a story), a person who comments with a keyword you choose (or anyone who comments, if you set no keyword) receives one private message from your account. The link sits on a button in the message, and you can add a public reply under the comment. You can set up to 10 keywords, a message of up to 640 characters, button text of up to 20 characters and a reply of up to 300 characters.

  • The feature is off by default. SemPost offers it only in the regions where we have switched it on (the United States, Canada, the EU and EEA, Turkey and other countries are separate regions). The region is taken from your workspace's business country, or from its time zone if no country is set.
  • Meta allows one message within 7 days after a comment.
  • SemPost keeps no data about the people who comment. The record of who received a message is kept by our social gateway, Zernio, under its privacy policy. Link tracking is off: the link does not pass through a redirect and clicks are not tracked.
  • We may switch the feature off for a region or for your workspace at any time. Running automations are then paused.

Your duties.

  • Say clearly in the post what a comment will trigger, for example "Comment LINK and we will send you the link by DM".
  • Send only what you promised, in one message. Do not add unrelated marketing.
  • Do not use the message to collect more personal data than you need, and never sensitive data.
  • Follow the rules on commercial electronic messages where you and the recipients are, for example Law No. 6563 and the Message Management System (İYS) in Turkey, Article 13 of the EU ePrivacy Directive and the national laws that implement it, the US CAN-SPAM Act where it applies, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Other spam. Do not publish repetitive, deceptive or irrelevant content to drive traffic, do not post to accounts you are not allowed to manage, and do not use first comments, replies or hashtags to spam other people.

4.3 Fake reviews, fake testimonials and AI "customers"

  • Do not write, generate, buy, commission or publish fake consumer reviews or testimonials, including ones written by AI or attributed to people who do not exist or did not use the product.
  • Do not rewrite real reviews in a way that changes their meaning, and do not show only the positive ones as if they were all of them.
  • Do not present a synthetic person, a synthetic voice or an AI scene as a real customer, a real customer's photo or a real experience.
  • United States: the FTC's Trade Regulation Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465, in force since 21 October 2024) bans fake reviews and testimonials, including AI-generated ones, and buying or selling fake social media indicators such as followers or views.
  • European Union: the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC (Annex I, points 23b and 23c) bans claiming that reviews come from real buyers without reasonable checks, and submitting or commissioning false reviews.
  • Turkey: under Article 28/B of the Commercial Advertising Regulation (in force since 1 August 2026), only people who bought a product may review it, reviews from sources that cannot verify a purchase may not be published, and reviews without purchase verification may not be used in advertisements.

SemPost has no feature that imports or writes customer reviews.

4.4 Undisclosed advertising

  • If you receive money, free products, commissions or any other benefit for promoting something, or you publish for a client, say clearly that the post is an advertisement.
  • Turkey: under Article 23/A of the Commercial Advertising Regulation, an influencer's advertisement must carry "Reklam" or "Tanıtım" together with the advertiser's name (or one of the forms the regulation allows). The tag must be visible without scrolling, legible and placed before other tags; in audio-only posts the advertisement is announced at the start.
  • United States: the FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require clear disclosure of material connections between an endorser and a brand.
  • Networks: in SemPost's TikTok direct posting window you set TikTok's commercial content disclosure ("Your brand" labels the post as promotional; "Branded content" labels it as a paid partnership). SemPost cannot set Meta's branded content (paid partnership) label; where it is needed, add it with Meta's own tools.
  • Targeted ads: if you promote a post as a targeted ad, Article 25/A of the Turkish regulation requires the targeting criteria, and how to change them, to be shown to consumers, and forbids targeting known children with profiling. SemPost does not run ads for you.

4.5 Misleading prices, discounts and claims

The rules on "before" prices.

  • Turkey (Article 14(3) of the Commercial Advertising Regulation, since 1 August 2026): for goods, the price before a discount must be the lowest price applied in the 10 days before the discount started; for services, it is the price applied just before the discounted price.
  • European Union (Price Indication Directive 98/6/EC, Article 6a): the prior price is the lowest price applied during at least the 30 days before the reduction.
  • Other countries have their own rules.

What SemPost does.

  • Automation rules write only the product's current price. They do not write an old price, a percentage discount, "only N left" or "today only", and they do not show a struck-through price or a discount or "last days" badge on pictures. If such a phrase appears anyway, the post is held as a draft until a person fixes it.
  • Just before an automation post is published, SemPost reads the product again. If the product is gone or out of stock (when the rule skips out-of-stock products), if the price in the text has changed, or if the discount code is no longer active, the post goes back to draft.
  • In posts you make with Generate from products, the price label can show your store's earlier ("compare at") price struck through next to the current price. In the Video Studio, the end card has an "old price" field. SemPost takes these figures from your store or from you, and does not check which period they cover. You must make sure that every "before" price you show is lawful.

Other claims. Do not create false urgency or scarcity, do not advertise prices you will not honour, and do not claim features, materials, certifications, health effects or environmental benefits you cannot prove. In Turkey, advertisers must be able to prove the claims in their advertisements (Law No. 6502, Article 61), and the Commercial Advertising Regulation requires environmental claims to be supported by evidence.

4.6 Deep fakes and removing AI marks

  • Do not create deep fakes of real people, and never show an AI copy of a real person as using, experiencing or recommending a product.
  • Do not remove, alter or hide Content Credentials, providers' watermarks or network AI labels, and do not switch off AI disclosures that SemPost has set.
  • The AI Content Policy sets out these rules in full.

4.7 Intellectual property

  • Do not upload, generate or publish material you have no right to use: photos, videos, logos, fonts, music, texts or product descriptions.
  • Do not use other people's trademarks in a way that could confuse people about who you are or who made a product.
  • Give SemPost only product page addresses that you own or have permission to use, and follow the source site's terms. SemPost reads the public page and up to two related addresses on the same site, identifying itself as "SemPostBot/1.0". It refuses Etsy pages, because Etsy's rules forbid reading them.
  • Do not use SemPost to copy other shops' product photos or descriptions.
  • Rights holders can complain under the Copyright and Notice-and-Takedown Policy, which also contains our repeat-infringer policy.

4.8 Prohibited and restricted products

You may not use SemPost to promote goods or services that are illegal where they are offered or seen, or that the network where you publish prohibits or restricts, unless you meet that network's conditions. The networks' own lists apply, for example:

Stripe's list of Prohibited and Restricted Businesses also applies: we may refuse or end service to a business whose main activity is on that list. The AI providers we use also apply their own usage rules and may refuse a request.

4.9 Platform manipulation

  • Do not buy, sell or fake followers, likes, views, comments or other engagement.
  • Do not run fake accounts, impersonate others or take part in coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
  • Do not publish the same or nearly the same content across many accounts to game reach. SemPost's automation holds a post as a draft when its text is nearly the same as another account's post on the same network, and spaces the same product at least 30 minutes apart across accounts.
  • Do not use SemPost to get around a network's suspension, limits or rules, or to manage accounts you are not allowed to manage.

4.10 Security abuse, scraping and misuse of SemPost

  • Do not access other people's workspaces or accounts, or try to.
  • Do not probe, scan or test SemPost for vulnerabilities except under our responsible disclosure rules on the Security page; report vulnerabilities to [email protected].
  • Do not overload or disrupt SemPost, and do not get around sign-in checks, two-factor authentication, rate limits, plan limits, credit or budget limits.
  • Do not share your login. Invite team members instead; each person needs their own account.
  • Do not create extra accounts or stores to get more than one free trial. The trial is given once per account and once per Shopify store.
  • Do not copy, scrape or automate access to SemPost's app or websites, and do not reverse engineer SemPost, except where the law allows it.
  • Do not upload malware, and do not use SemPost's page reader to reach addresses that are not public.

4.11 Other people's personal data

When your content includes other people's personal data (for example names, photos or messages), you are responsible for having a legal basis to use it. Do not publish sensitive personal data, do not publish people's contact details without permission, and respect people's requests about their data. The Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement explain the roles.

4.12 Children

SemPost is only for people aged 18 and over. Do not use SemPost to collect children's data, for example through comment-to-DM, and do not target children with ads based on profiling.

5. Automated checks in SemPost

SemPost uses these automated checks. They hold, adjust or label your own posts; they do not judge you, and they do not remove content because it is illegal.

  • Approval queue: depending on your workspace setting, AI and automation content waits for a person's approval; LinkedIn and Pinterest automation posts always wait (section 3).
  • Price and discount phrases: automation posts with an old price, a percentage, scarcity or "today only" wording are held as drafts (section 4.5).
  • Re-check before publishing: automation posts go back to draft if the product is gone, the price in the text has changed or the discount code has ended (section 4.5).
  • Similar texts: an automation post nearly identical to another account's post on the same network is held as a draft (section 4.9).
  • Network rules: TikTok gets a clean version without branding; TikTok photo posts with AI content go as drafts; YouTube automation needs your consent, and so does Google Business Profile automation; network limits are applied (section 3).
  • AI labels: posts carrying AI files get the network's AI label where available (see the AI Content Policy).
  • Page reader: SemPost reads only public https addresses and refuses Etsy pages.
  • Uploads: files are checked for type and size and re-encoded.

Decisions to remove content, restrict features or suspend a workspace or an account are made by a person. Apart from the automatic checks above, which hold a post as a draft for a person to review, apply a network's rules or refuse an unsupported page or file, we use no automated tool to detect, remove or restrict content.

6. Enforcement

6.1 What we may do

When content or behaviour breaks this policy, we choose a measure that fits how serious the breach is, how often it happened and the risk to people, to the networks and to SemPost. In rising order:

  1. Notice: we tell the workspace owner and admins what is wrong and give a reasonable time to fix it.
  2. Content: we hold or remove the content in SemPost, for example by returning a scheduled post to draft or stopping a scheduled post.
  3. Features: we pause automation, switch off comment-to-DM or the music library for your workspace, or stop live publishing so that posts are only validated and not published. Live publishing is otherwise open to every workspace; we switch it off only as a measure under this policy.
  4. Suspension: we suspend the workspace or lock a user's login. While a workspace is suspended, nothing is published, scheduled posts fail with the reason "workspace suspended", and its automations and comment-to-DM are paused.
  5. Termination: we end the contract and close the workspace or the account, as the Terms of Service describe.

6.2 When we act at once

We may act at once, without a notice period, in cases of illegal content, a serious or repeated breach, fraud or payment abuse, a security risk, an order from an authority, or a risk to SemPost's or our gateway's access to a network.

6.3 Statement of reasons

When we restrict your content or your account, we tell you by email, at the latest when the restriction starts:

  • what we did, and where relevant for which area and for how long;
  • the facts behind the decision, including whether it followed a report or our own check (we name the person who reported only where strictly necessary);
  • whether automated means were used;
  • the law or the rule of this policy or of the Terms that the decision is based on, and why; and
  • how you can challenge the decision.

We do not send this where the law forbids it or where it would put security or an investigation at risk.

6.4 Complaints

To challenge a decision, reply to our message or write to [email protected] within 6 months of the decision. A person reviews the complaint, where possible someone who did not take the first decision, and answers within 14 days. If we find we were wrong, we reverse the measure without delay. You can also go to court; the Terms of Service say which courts.

6.5 Networks and authorities

  • Networks enforce their own rules independently. A network may remove your posts or suspend your accounts; SemPost cannot reverse that.
  • If a network restricts SemPost's or our gateway's access because of how a workspace uses SemPost, we may restrict that workspace.
  • If we learn of information that suggests a crime threatening someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities.

6.6 Fees

What happens to fees after a suspension or termination is set out in the Terms of Service and the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

7. How to report

7.1 Who can report, and where

Anyone can report content made or published with SemPost that they believe is illegal or breaks this policy, whether or not they use SemPost. Send your report to [email protected].

7.2 What to include

  1. Why you believe the content is illegal or breaks this policy, explained in enough detail.
  2. Exactly where the content is: the address of the post on the network, and if you know it the name of the SemPost workspace or account; screenshots help.
  3. Your name and email address. You do not need to give them when reporting child sexual abuse material.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the information and claims in your report are accurate and complete.

Copyright and trademark complaints have their own requirements; see the Copyright and Notice-and-Takedown Policy.

7.3 What happens next

  • If you give an email address, we confirm receipt without undue delay.
  • A person reviews your report in a timely, careful and objective way. For most reports, we confirm receipt within 2 business days and decide within 7 days.
  • We tell you our decision and how you can challenge it. If we used automated means, we say so.
  • If the report shows a threat to someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities.

7.4 Content that is already on a network

SemPost cannot delete a post that has already been published on a network. Only the account holder or the network can. When we receive a valid report about such a post, we ask the customer to remove it and may take the measures in section 6. You can also report the post to the network directly with its own reporting tools.
