How-to guide

Sound, the draft and the final

Add a closing card, music, a voiceover and ambient sound, watch a free draft, then make the final, share it and see what it costs.

The last steps of a Video Studio video are where it gets its ending and its sound, and where it's made. The draft is free and quick: it shows the order, the timing, the words on screen, the card and the music. The final makes the AI shots, the voiceover and the ambient sound, costs credits, and puts the finished video in your library.

Sound and ending

Open Sound and ending. Every part is optional.

  • Closing card: the video's last 3 seconds, with a Title, the Price and an Old price struck through in their Currency, a Discount code, a Call to action and a Link, whose address Show the address on the card writes on it. The fields start from the product's details, and a preview shows the card as you fill it in, on the first shot's photo, as the video ends on it.
  • Music, when SemPost's music library is open to your workspace: pick a track, listen with the play button, and set Comes in at, the second it fades in (0 is the start). It's cut to the video or looped, and fades out at the end. A track whose name ends in "made with AI" makes the video count as AI content.
  • Voiceover: a voice reads your Text to read, up to 1,400 characters (about 100 seconds), in the Voice you pick. Starts at sets its second. The music steps down while it speaks, and if it lasts longer than the video, the last frame stays on screen until it ends.
  • Ambient sound: the AI makes sound and effects that match the video's pictures, such as coffee being poured or a page turning, under the music and the voiceover. With no scene action in the video, it's the quiet sound of the room. Pick how loud it is: Soft, Medium or Strong. Its price follows the video's length, for videos up to 120 seconds.

The draft has the card and the music; the voiceover and the ambient sound are made for the final only. Your choices are kept with the project as you make them, so they're there when you come back; nothing is paid for until the final.

Watch a draft

Make it

Press Make a draft (free), in the Draft step or in the bar at the foot. It uses no AI and is usually ready in under a minute.

Watch it in the preview

Your photos play with the camera moves you chose. An AI shot whose clip isn't made yet only moves a little: a note beside the video names those shots. A clip a final already made plays as it is.

Check the safe area

Safe area, above the preview, darkens where Reels, TikTok and Shorts put the account name, the caption and the buttons. Keep the product, the words on screen and the card's details in the clear middle; if something falls under a dark part, change the shot's camera move or move its text to Top or Bottom. The darkening is only in the preview.

Make the final

Check the price

Open Final and share. Final price lists each AI shot whose clip is still to make, the voiceover and the ambient sound, and the Total. Clips a final already made aren't paid again.

Choose other shapes and variants, if you like

  • Other shapes: 4:5 · Feed, 1:1 · Square and 16:9 · Wide are made with the final, each a video of its own, at no extra cost. TikTok gets the 9:16 final instead.
  • A/B variants: 1 variant (B) or 2 variants (B and C) are made from the same clips at no extra cost. Then tick what changes: Opening text, Music, Opening shot or Call to action. Post them side by side, or in ads, to see which works better. Each one goes to TikTok without the logo and closing card too.

Make it

Press Make the final · … credits, or Make the final (clips ready) when nothing is left to pay. The bar at the foot follows it: AI shots: 1/2 ready, then The shots are ready; putting the video together. Each AI shot can take a few minutes, and you can leave the page. While the final waits its turn, Call off stops it. A project makes one final at a time.

Share it

When Your final is ready:

  • Make a post in the Studio opens the Studio with the final in the tray, the product's page as the link and its name under Title or product name; pick the accounts. See Make a post in the Studio.
  • Download saves the 1080×1920 video; the variants and the other shapes have their own Download buttons.
  • The final is in Media too, under the Studio source, so Choose media on the Posts page offers it.

SemPost's video posts are 9:16, so the other shapes are mostly for what you place yourself, such as a 4:5 feed ad or a 16:9 video: download them. Every version goes to TikTok without your logo and closing card: a variant that shows something else than the final has its own copy without them, and the other shapes, or a variant that only changes the call to action, go as the 9:16 final.

Versions

Versions, under the preview, lists the last six drafts and finals: their state, what each final cost, and why one failed. It opens by itself when something needs your attention. When there are both, Last final and Last draft switch the preview between them.

What it costs

Drafts, the closing card, the music, the other shapes and the variants are free. The final charges each AI shot's clip when it's made, at its model's price for its length, the voiceover once it plays, and the ambient sound once it's made. A shot whose product the AI couldn't keep is finished with photo motion and not charged; an ambient sound that can't be made is left out, unpaid. A final with AI clips, a voiceover, ambient sound, an AI picture or an AI-made track is labelled with AI parts: see AI labels on your pictures and videos.

If something goes wrong

  • The AI could not keep the product in shot …; it was finished with photo motion and not charged. Make the final again to retry that shot, or change its photo or model first.
  • The ambient sound could not be made; the video was made without it and it was not charged.
  • The last final could not be made: followed by the reason, in the bar and under Versions.
  • The video could not be made because of a problem on our side. Try again in a few minutes. The final stopped several times, or its voiceover or ambient sound couldn't be read. Make it again: the clips already made aren't paid again.
  • The final cannot be made right now, on the button: a shot's kind or model can't be made for your workspace now. Look for Unavailable on the timeline and pick another kind or model for that shot.
  • Enter a second from 0 to … (e.g. 2.5). A sound can come in at the latest half a second before the video ends.
  • The video is too long: ambient sound is made for videos of up to 120 seconds. Shorten the video, or switch the ambient sound off.
  • Too long: at most 1,400 characters. Shorten the voiceover's text.
  • Put at least one thing on the card: a title, a price, a code, a call to action or the address.
  • The final video is being made right now. Wait for it, or call it off while it's still waiting.
  • The price changed. Look at the new total before generating. / Not enough credits: this needs … credits and … are available.
  • This track is no longer in the music library; choose another one. / This video carries library music and cannot be shared on …. Make the final again without music for that network.
  • An old draft doesn't play. Drafts aren't kept for long: make a new one, it's free.
